This weekend, November 15-16, the Second Collection will be for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).  Since 1970, CCHD-funded projects have created jobs, improved neighborhoods, and provided a way out of poverty for people with low incomes.  CCHD grants are at work in several local organizations within our own diocese.  “We should be particularly indignant at the enormous inequality in our midst…. We fail to see that some are mired in desperate and degrading poverty, while others have not…

Sacred Heart is participating in the Toys for Tots program again this year.  Place your donations of new, unwrapped toys in the boxes located in the Church Narthex. Toys will be collected through Thursday, December 11th. Your generous donations will make a great difference for so many families. Thank you!

November 8-9, there will be a Second Collection for the Archdiocese for the Military Services.  This unique Archdiocese is faced with many challenges, including a severe shortage of Catholic priest-chaplains, a flock spread out amongst the many military installations across the world, and constant transition.  The Archdiocese for the Military Services receives no funding from the US Military or the government, and relies on private donations to fund all pastoral programs and services. All donations are greatly appreciated.
