Join us on Saturday, August 15, at 9 a.m. as the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This year, and this year ONLY, the Assumption is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation. Although the Catholic faithful are not obliged to attend Mass this year on August 15, Our Blessed Mother’s Assumption into Heaven remains a Solemnity and an important day in the life of the Church. Everyone is encouraged to attend Mass on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
