Sacraments are at the heart of our faith. As the action of God, they unite us more closely in the family of God. At Sacred Heart, we have a full sacramental life and we invite you to participate.
The sacraments strengthen our faith, while also expressing our faith at the same time. They are “signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us” (CCC 1131). The visible rites of the sacrament make grace present.
There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. Our common life as a faith community revolves around these sacraments.
We celebrate Penance and Eucharist weekly. We provide regular preparation for Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, and Matrimony. The Anointing of the Sick is available as needed and also at our local nursing homes.
We invite you to enter fully into the life of God through the sacraments.
