Rediscover Catholicism
Did you pick up one of the Rediscover Catholicism books yet? If not, it’s not too late. We still have a few copies available. Each week during Lent we’ll post a couple reflection questions to help you reflect on your faith and help guide you through the book.
Week 2 Questions:
Scripture Reading: Gospel of Matthew 5: 14 – 16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Reading from Rediscover Catholicism: Chapter 6: “What is Holiness” (70-74) and “The Best-Version-of-Yourself”(74-75)
- “The path to holiness is well worn.” History is full of people who have dedicated their lives to becoming the-best-version-of-themselves. If you were to choose one of these people whom you admire and incorporate one of their habits into your own life, what would that habit be?
- Name one area in your life where you are very disciplined and one area where you could be more disciplined. What one small step could you take this week to be more disciplined in that area?
- Describe a time when you felt God calling you to something and you answered the call.
- List 3 people in your life who are helping or have helped you become a better-version-of-yourself.
