The weekend of November 9-10, Bishop Barron has asked all of the parishes in the diocese to take up a Second Collection for those affected by the recent Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida, North Carolina, and throughout the southeastern part of the United States. Catholic Charities, the official domestic disaster relief agency of the Catholic Church in the United States, is coordinating the relief efforts. Checks should be made payable to Sacred Heart Church; one check will be forwarded from our office to the USCCB Emergency Disaster Fund, which will work with Catholic Charities USA to distribute the money for immediate and long-term relief in assisting the communities in need. Most importantly, please remember to pray for our brothers and sisters as they rebuild and recover.
