Next Sunday, October 20, is World Mission Sunday.  Pope Pius XI instituted World Mission Sunday 98 years ago in 1926 as a day “to encourage prayers and offerings for the missions.”  Your contributions in next week’s second collection for the Society of the Propagation of the Faith will help bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Church to “all the nations.”  Your gifts will also help the many priests, religious sisters and brothers, and lay men and women who assist the poor, sick, elderly, orphans, and children in the Church’s more than 1,150 mission dioceses.
